DVD's & Movies

English language films can be found at most supermarkets, toy shops, and shopping malls. Check the cover for “Teks Indonesia” (subtitles) or “Sulih Suara” (Indonesian dubbing) first!

Try the top level at Ratu Plaza, they tend to have the best selection of kids films including the classics like Snow White, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and plenty of others. Note for young children Maisy Mouse and Mr Men are all in English with Indonesian subtitles. However the Tweenies and Teletubbies are dubbed. Always get the store to check or test the discs before you buy them to make sure they are in English and are working properly.

it is a good idea to stock up whilst in your home country as it is likely that there will be better selection available, most international airports also have shops with good selections of DVD's.

Other stores selling unofficial discs in Jakarta are a hit and miss affair as they open and close quickly but there some in the ITC's, Mangga Dua, Ratu Plaza .

All the big shopping malls have shops that sell Wii games, for unofficial discs try Toy City . Ratu Plaza, Poins Square, all the ITC Malls sell games.
