Gandaria City Mall - a brief review to help you get started!

This mall opened late in 2010 and is has yet to fill all of it's units as of March 2011 however the mall has a good 'feel' about it and has wide walkways and some shops not found elsewhere, if you live close to this area it is worth a visit.

Shops at this mall include;

Department Store;
The anchor department store is Metro and they have the largest children's section that we have seen in any Metro in Jakarta, well worth a look around.

Supermarket;
Lotte Mart is the supermarket/hypermarket, we didn't investigate beyond the entrance but it looks very Carrefour like and we have heard that Lotte Mart will start to appear in many more locations in Jakarta in the near future.

Food outlets;
There is 'Main Street' for satisfying your family's appetites - a huge array of different restaurants on two floors along one wing of the mall makes it easy to see what is on offer, most of the usual big names are represented. There is a Singaporean food court 'Eat & Eat' that uses a pre paid card system for all it's outlets, here you will only find Asian cuisine but what credit you don't use on your card will be refunded when you leave - if you remember to return the card that is!

Children's clothing;
Mothercare
Gingersnaps
Crocs

Toys;
Toys Kingdom - is a great shop divided into specific toy sections which makes finding something specific easier. Brands not often seen elsewhere are Lundby dolls houses (Swedish), Hape wooden toys and their baby section has all the good western brands on offer.
Early Learning Centre.
Kidz Station.
Hobby shop (close to Amazing Town) with remote control cars, helicopters etc.

Entertainment;
Lollipops Playland & Cafe
Cinema 21 The Premiere
Amazing Town indoor fairground - loud but looks like fun with rides to go on.

Other useful shops include;
Gramedia Book Shop
Informa Furniture
Ace Hardware
Ibox Apple computer shop
Boutique furniture shops
Celebrity Fitness
Scrapbooking shop

Toilet cublicles are large and baby change facilities are available.
