Running Clubs
Jakarta Hash House Harriettes
This group meets every Wednesday at 5pm for a sunset run or walk, location announced via email. The runs are approximately 45-60 minutes long. After the run there is a social gathering with singing, telling of jokes etc. The evening is finished off with a gathering at a Jakarta restaurant for a simple meal (to be paid separately). Each participant can take part in the whole event or just parts of it. There is also a children’s hash, the 'Horrors', on the last Sunday of every month.

Offers a wide range of classes - painting, golf, computing, mahjong, reflexology, aroma therapy, massage plus assorted cookery, exercise, dance and language classes. JICC is the place for you to sing, laugh and enjoy. It is a social activity for expatriates and local residents. Anyone can join in! South Jakarta Community Choir
The South Jakarta Community Choir (formerly the Pattimura Community Choir), founded by Kate Redmond and led by renowned Indonesian musician and composer Indra Aziz is currently welcoming new members. We sing a variety of music: world music, pop, show tunes and golden oldies. It's loads of fun. No auditions - just turn up and join in. Rehearsals are held in English. Membership is very mixed and open to all: expatriates and Indonesians. We have urgent need for basses and tenors, recruitment is ongoing.

Bellydance Jakarta - NEW listing anuary 2012
Explore your sensuality and enhance your feminity through the beautiful and ancient art form of bellydancing with! It is a gentle activity that tones your core muscles and improves posture, flexibility and most importantly improves your confidence and body image. Students are encouraged to put their skills into practice at the annual year end public dance recital, and they hold regular haflas (bellydance parties) where you practice your moves and dress up. It really is a lot of fun!
They work on a rolling system so students can join classes immediately, and they have classes to suit all levels from absolute beginner to advanced and everything in between. In class you just need to wear comfortable gym clothes, like a t-shirt and leggings or jogging pants. There is no need to have any dance background and bellydance is suitable for all women, no matter the age, shape or size! Single classes are Rp 150.000 and packages of 8 sessions are available for up to Rp 1.000.000. Private lessons are also available upon request.

My Scrapbook Ideas
These are compact outlets that have a reasonable range of printed paper, cardstock, embellishments and albums. Each outlet is generally well stocked with a good variety and up to date merchandise. In the past the Bintaro Junction branch has had the greatest selection of cardstock. Staff generally do not speak English. They do maintain a listing of customers which is worth signing on to so that you are alerted to new product arrivals.
